God Of War Game Director Reacts To High Scores In Emotional Video

Today is the day. After years of development, Sony’s God of War reboot for PlayStation 4 is finally out. Game director Cory Barlog and his team pushed hard on the game for five years to get the action-adventure title out the door, and that day has finally arrived.

Barlog posted a video of himself checking God of War’s reviews for the first time–and it’s a lot. After hesitating, he goes to GameSpot sister site Metacritic to see the game’s overall score–at the time he checked it was 94 (it’s 95 today). Seeing his game being praised so much drove him to tears.

“[The review scores] shouldn’t matter, but I’m just so f**king proud,” Barlog said. “I’m just so lucky to work with the people that I work with. I’m glad I didn’t f**k it up.”

Barlog said he wasn’t sure he wanted to even make this video. He was pushed to do so after thinking about what his son is “going through right now.” Barlog said it was important for him to let his son know it is OK to be sad and to show emotion.

“It is OK to cry. There is nothing to hide. I thought I would try to set a good example and show him that papa can cry in front of the world,” Barlog said.

GameSpot’s God of War review scored the game a 9/10, while other critics enjoyed it as well. For more on the game, check out all of GameSpot’s written and video coverage here.

Deadpool 2 Trailer’s Funniest Character Has a Secret Twitter and It’s Hilarious

Deadpool 2’s latest trailer introduces viewers to arguably the funniest character in the film, Peter (Rob Delaney), and it turns out he has a hilarious secret Twitter account.

At the end of the new trailer Peter, who is an average dude with no super powers whatsoever, still decides to respond to the X-Force call to arms. Timed to the trailer’s launch, the Deadpool Twitter account started following Peter, making it the second only account it follows after Hello Kitty.

The thing is, Peter has been posting a ton of funny stuff on Twitter since March, and his feed tells us a bit about his character. It seems he’s a beekeeper of some sort, is married to a person named Susan, and is also a huge fan of the sitcom Friends and its character Monica (Courteney Cox). He also doesn’t mind being Deadpool’s sidekick, which might hint at their dynamic in the upcoming film.

5 Obvious Lessons Jurassic World Characters STILL Haven’t Learned

The final trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is here. And the more I watch it, the more I was distracted by one simple fact: these characters are incapable of learning from the past.

They have 25 years of calamity to guide them, and yet, they keep on making the same exact mistakes. If the titular “Fallen Kingdom” is humanity itself, and THESE are our brightest minds, then let that kingdom burn, baby. We had our time. (All snarkiness aside, we are still looking forward to seeing this movie.)

Here are 5 lessons that these dumb-dumbs haven’t learned after 25 years of dino-mayhem.
