Black Panther Composer Will Score Venom
Black Panther composer Ludwig Goransson is set to score another comic book movie this year.
Deadline reports Goransson will compose the soundtrack for Sony’s upcoming Venom solo film starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock. Goransson will reunite with the movie’s director Ruben Fleischer, after the duo worked together on Fleischer’s 2011 film 30 Minutes or Less.
Along with composing the music for Black Panther, Goransson also scored two of Black Panther director Ryan Cooler’s other movies, Fruitvale Station and Creed, as well as Central Intelligence and Death Wish. Goransson is also the producer of Donald Glover’s Childish Gambino albums.
CinemaScore: Audiences Rate Ready Player One and Other Spielberg Movies
Steven Spielberg is one of those rare directors who consistently manages to deliver big, crowd-pleasing blockbusters that also resonate with critics. So it should come as no surprise that Spielberg has tended to fare very well when it comes to the all-important CinemaScore rating. CinemaScores are determined by polling domestic moviegoers on opening night, resulting in a letter grade that serves as a barometer of how moviegoers feel about a new film.
Spielberg’s latest project has just hit theaters, and the verdict is now in. Ready Player One has received an A- CinemaScore, putting it on equal footing with past films like War Horse and Catch Me If You Can.
